More on the McCain doubletalk express

McCain says Reid chose 'to put politics above policy'

McCain's statement on Lieberman-Warner said this:

... it appears that for now, the Senate, at the direction of the Majority Leader, will choose to put politics above policy, and Congress will fail to act yet again on this critical issue.

You cannot be serious! The people who put politics above policy were McCain's fellow conservatives, who

  • Forced 30 hours of pointless debate
  • Forced a 9-hour reading of the bill
  • Demagogued the gasoline and energy price issue over and over again
  • Denied the reality of climate science
  • Voted to block the bill from moving forward

That's why Congress failed to act. And, of course, Bush said he would veto the bill anyway. Where or when did the straight talk express derail?

Doubletalk express!

Where or when did the straight talk express derail?

Exactly where/when McCain announced he wanted to run for President.

_______

McCain will do or say anything to get elected it would seem.

Here's a fun example.

-

Monday McCain made a speech where he came up with his super duper total new own plan.

A private divestment campaign from Iran, similar to the successful one waged in apartheid South Africa.

Catch being, Obama made a bill saying exactly that in 2007.  McCain opposed the bill.

McCain also opposed the original divestment campaign in South Africa.  (Yeah, he's that old)

Meanwhile, last year McCain's senior economic advisor, Charlie Black was a lobbyist for an Iranian company.

And of course, McCain says he sucks at Economics, so he listens to his advisers, which would of course be Charlie Black.

Also for a laugh, here's a music video list of things older than John McCain.

Including Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alaska.
