Top Senate recipients of fossil-fuel money behind climate-bill stall tactics

The good folks over at Muckety.com (maybe we're long-lost cousins ...) put together an awesome interactive map detailing the connections between the fossil-fuel industries and some of the folks behind the death of climate legislation in the Senate this week. Check it out:

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the Senate's leading climate-change denier, is also a top recipient of campaign contributions from the coal mining, gas, and oil industries. (Shocking, no?) Since 1989, he's received $1.6 million from the energy and natural resources sectors, according to data from OpenSecrets.org.

The senator who received the most money from the coal-mining industry in the past election cycle was Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) -- the same senator who insisted Wednesday on making clerks read the entirety of the 492-page climate-change bill aloud, stalling its forward movement.
