Right to bare legs

Today, No Pants Day will undoubtedly spark dialogue about climate change

Posted by Holly Richmond at 11:44 AM on 02 May 2008

Arguably, a far superior cousin to Earth Day: No Pants Day.

It may seem to be an innocuous, juvenile ritual devoid of underlying political intentions, but neglecting one's trousers provides unavoidable commentary about global warming. Conversation starter: "My legs are hot ... and so is the planet." (Bringing up body hair and deforestation is optional.)

After all, "When large groups of people parade around in public without their pants, amazing things are bound to happen."

I much prefer ...

The right to bear arms.

Joking aside, I'm most excited about summer so I can wear this t-shirt again.

what about?

What about no underwear day? are we going to have one of those?

Seriously, I bet we could save the planet by wearing no clothes. think about it!

  1. We would not need all the cloth
  2. We could save energy by not making clothes,
  3. We would save trees by not buying magazines about clothes and fashion
  4. We would save food, because more people would care about what their bodies looked like and they would not be as fat and overweight
  5. We would save money by not over eating - see point above
  6. We would not kill animals for fur
