Marvel at this: X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be an environmentally friendly production. This fourth movie based on the Marvel Comics characters is currently being filmed in New Zealand, and the producers have agreed to work with the local Queenstown Lakes District Council on a "green screen" initiative.

As part of the project, the council will do an environmental impact assessment of the sets and find ways to maximize recycling efforts. A "green screen" template will then be produced for use in determining the resource consent conditions of future productions in the area.

And if that isn't good news enough, rumor has it that Friday Night Lights hottie Taylor Kitsch may be playing the role of Gambit in the film. Oh, Riggins, you can tackle my heart any day!

Yikes

It looks like the agreement came after the production studio was rebuked for storing dangerous explosives in the middle of Queenstown. But maybe they were going to go green anyway.

In any case, it's about time that they include Gambit. But can Taylor Kitsch can pull off a Cajun accent?

Is it

my imagination, or do Wolverine's knife blades keep getting longer & longer?

There are so many jokes here... I just can't pick!

Is that a...

Mutation in your DNA, or are you...  never mind.

New Zealand is the place to watch on enviro revolution and local everything.  Until a few years ago you got your name on a list to get a used car shipped in from elsewhere.

They have every reason to go greener and greener and ever more local with ag and industry.  My sister just moved there recently, I'm hoping to visit sometime soon.
