Coming Gore book to spell out climate solutions

Posted by David Roberts at 11:56 AM on 07 Sep 2007

Gore to pen a sequel:

The Path to Survival will be published next spring to coincide with Earth Day on April 22.

According to the publisher, Rodale Books, Gore will spell out a blueprint for the changes that individuals and governments need to make to avoid catastrophic climate change.

I expect the book will be built around Gore's 10 policy recommendations to Congress, which remain the gold standard as far as I'm concerned.

My favorite Al Gore quote --

"The maximum that seems politically feasible still falls far short of the minimum that would be effective in solving the crisis"

-- Policy address at NYU, September 18, 2006

More books than Apple products

Gore spews out more media products than Apple does ipod versions.

Both are bubbles that will soon burst.

Scary thing being

Scary thing being, Ethanol and CCS are some of Gore big solutions.

Be sad if we squandered our time and money on fake solutions.

Hey Al - while you're writing ...

I'm still waiting (hoping) for your two new books...

'Why I Finally Became Vegetarian' & 'How I Made Apple the Greenest Electronics Company on the Planet'...
