Mustache speak; you listen

Posted by David Roberts at 12:31 PM on 26 Sep 2007

Love him or hate him, you gotta admit The (now freely available to all!) Mustache of Understanding is good today. He draws a line from Wal-Mart to China, nailing the message that renewables + efficiency saves money and drives innovation. Not a whiff of hippie do-gooder about it.

I've long said that Wal-Mart's green turn is going to be remembered as much for its influence on other institutions as for its concrete results.

Wal-Mart is no saint

I still think the relationship between Wal-Mart and China is dangerous at best.  China was responsible for a bunch of health crises in recent weeks, and it was shocking to see how for the reach was.  70% of goods sold by Wal-Mart come from China.  I just can't support (or applaud for that matter), a company that has such a cozy relationship with China.

Check out this ad that WakeUpWallMart.com produced, and let me know what you think: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Nx2ltoqyrEw
