In case you mistook Schwarzenegger for a green

Posted by Gar Lipow (Guest Contributor) at 1:36 PM on 25 May 2007

I don't get it, Gar

So this invalidates everything else he's done? The enormous effect he's had on national and even international politics on green issues? "Green" is all or nothing?

Not to mention

Not to mention the $20 Billion for transportation funding he pushed through.

Pushed through

What Arnold has done in California is mainly what he was pushed to do. I think you give him too much credit for leadership, when all he was doing was giving in.

That's all right, Gar

Just more incentive to keep the pressure on, and not go all goo-goo-eyed over him.

Who Does "Transit" Serve?

Choo-Choo Trains, otherwise known as "transit" are the playthings of rich inner city libs.   They do not serve the majority of state citizens.

They're Not Green; They're Blue

So this invalidates everything else he's done? The enormous effect he's had on national and even international politics on green issues? "Green" is all or nothing?

Now you see through it.  It's never been about Green -- it's just the same battle between Red (Republicans) and Blue (Democrat).

Say bio-fuel (Democrat) and get a cheering throng of advocates.   Say hydrogen (Republican) and they hurl banana peels and rotten cabbages at the stage.

From a rational viewpoint, everyone on all sides are making efforts to "solve" the pollution and energy problems, so I find it ridiculous when one or the other side tries to make it seem like a technical argument when its just politics as usual...
