Reverb rocks Campus Consciousness TourGuster helps school students on climate changePosted by Sarah van Schagen at 12:18 PM on 30 Mar 2007I've told you before about the rockin' work of environmental nonprofit Reverb, an organization that partners with musicians like Dave Matthews Band, Avril Lavigne, and Bonnie Raitt to "green" their tours and help educate fans about eco-issues. This year, they're going even bigger by helping Warner Music Group reduce its industry-size carbon footprint, collaborating with Sheryl Crow and Laurie David on a Stop Global Warming College Tour, and seeking out new artist partnerships -- most recently, indie-rocker Andrew Bird.
New to the CCT this year are interactive events including tours of the biodiesel-powered buses, a video booth allowing fans to share their ideas/inspirations about global warming, and a Town Hall Forum discussion between students and administrators about the school's sustainability record.
