Inhofe hates the rock music

Climate contrarian blocks Gore concert plans

Posted by Katharine Wroth at 7:30 AM on 28 Mar 2007

If climate change is the "greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people," then an all-star climate concert on the Capitol lawn has got to be some kind of descent into madness. So sayeth Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), who's vowing to indefinitely block a resolution allowing Al Gore's Live Earth concert to rock the Capitol grounds in July because the event is "partisan."

Said Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe (Maine), who co-sponsored the resolution with Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), "That would certainly provide an unfortunate message on behalf of the U.S., that somehow we're languishing in our desire to combat the problem. We should be a leader in this endeavor."

More to come, no doubt.

You Call Dave Matthews "Rock" ?

Inhofe is the only Senator with taste -- he simply wants to ban a lot of bland boring Freak Music from our Nation's capital and keep the Carbon Bigfoot, Al Gore, out of site.

If you want music, I suggest signing up for free Ozzfest 2007 tickets.   Headbangers will likely destroy environments every where it sets down.

Inhofe exposes evil scientists

While on the subject of the Senator, I thought I'd share the blog I wrote last week.  Though it is satire and hopefully somewhat funny, there is an important question in here for Sen. Inhofe.

"Inhofe Exposes Evil Scientists, Pharmacists Next on List"

I read in the news yesterday that Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma, Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, and Rep. Ralph Hall, also of Texas, do not believe in the American educational system.

Okay, those were not their exact words, but the astute can read between the lines. They said -- to Al Gore as he was giving testimony before Congress -- that they do not believe the scientists about global climate change.

Reading between the lines, what I hear these men saying is that they do not believe the American education system has produced credible scientists. I wonder what else they believe our educational system has failed at?

I thought we had one of the best educational systems in the world and that our scientists were some of the best in the world, but according to Inhofe and his colleagues, that just is not so.

According to Inhofe and his colleagues, our scientists do not know what they are doing, cannot correctly gather and interpret data, and misunderstand the simplest of phenomena.

But it's even worse than that. Inhofe has called global climate change "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated against the American people."

Not only are the scientists inept, but according to Inhofe, they are frauds, out-right liars, and, ... well, evil. If not for evil, what motivation could these alleged scientists have for perpetrating such a tremendous hoax?

Who knows how many millions in public money has been wasted on the errant research they do at NASA, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association), and other places employing these evil imposters who fiendishly earned science degrees at our nation's top research universities before securing their public sector employment where they apparently plan to take over the planet via manipulation of the glamorous, high stakes, power-broker world of climate science.

And all this time I had thought NASA and NOAA had some of the best scientists our nation could produce. Ha! They are all frauds instead!

I am a bit alarmed that Inhofe and his colleagues have not sought to further educate the American public on this crisis in our science. And why aren't they raising a fuss in Congress and calling for the dismantling of NASA and NOAA? Shouldn't heads be rolling (metaphorically speaking) over the waste of taxpayer money going to these obviously dysfunctional and corrupt agencies that employ these liars and failures posing as our nation's and the world's top scientists?

Of course, these evil imposters have done themselves in, as liars often do. They have given time frames for the polar ice caps melting and temperature and sea level increases, and if these things do not happen within those time frames, then we will all know they are indeed frauds and failures.

Of course, if the things predicted do happen within the time frames the scientists have given, it will be too late to do anything about it. But no need to worry, according to Inhofe and colleagues, these scientists are wrong and perhaps even purposefully trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American public.

I wonder if this problem in our science is just with climatologists or if it extends to other places such as scientists working on medical vaccines and military technologies? What about the ones working with radioactive materials? Hopefully they have to pass a more rigorous background check and psychological screening than the climate scientists apparently do.

And what about the ones developing pharmaceuticals? Could they all be frauds and failures too? Maybe a large percentage of our prescription medications are really just placebos. After all, they would have more motivation for fraud as much more money can be earned marketing a pharmaceutical than in studying the climate.

Come to think of it, what motivation do these conspiring fraudulent climate scientists have for perpetrating this hoax on the American people? I mean, how do you get filthy rich or take over the world that way?

Maybe it's not as sinister as world domination. Maybe these plotting climate scientists are all just old college buddies of Al Gore's and promised him they would help him win a Nobel Peace Prize. A big sigh of relief if that's all they are after.

I can only think of one way to find out for sure, though. Inhofe must have the inside story and so he's the man to ask to explain to us what motivation these people have for perpetrating this hoax. I don't know how Al Gore feels about it, but I am definitely looking forward to hearing the Senator's answer.
