Notable quotable

"Jack [Murtha] and other senior leaders now all march to the tune of Nancy Pelosi, to an extent I had not seen, frankly, with any previous Speaker. And I'm surprised by that. I think of John Dingell and the energy business. This is a hot item right now. But I don't see John Dingell driving that train. It looks to me like Nancy Pelosi is driving that train. And that is -- well, it's surprising when I think of the -- I'm trying to think how to say all of this in a gentlemanly fashion -- but the Congress I served in, that wouldn't have happened. ... They're not carrying the big stick I would have expected ..."

-- Vice President Dick Cheney, 06 Nov. 2007

What's to discuss?

Everyone knows Democrats are pussies and pussy-whipped, gutlessly kowtowing to minorities and women and endlessly bleating about the needs of children and Gore's hysteria and other enviro bedwetter nightmares.

Real men drill for oil, burn as much coal as possible, shoot trapped game and lawyer friends, and invade countries and kill millions whenever there's more oil to be had.  So go f--- yourself if you got a problem with any of that.

The 5% Project

For the love of....

Why anyone would support a party whose leaders and mainstream pundits spend alot of their time insulting and degrading people (the douche above, Rush, Coulter, the fox guy whose name I have managed to forget) is beyond me.  So now misogynist can be added to the list of dubious titles Cheney owns: War Criminal, Draft Dodger, liar, lord of the underworld.  The Democrats have their problems, and are definitely far from perfect, but I have never heard a Democrat insult somebody like that.  It is absolutely ridiculous.

Cheney on the couch

What a way with words you have, JMG.  Cheney was of course thinking exactly what you wrote, but he was trying to be "gentlemanly" about it.

Really, though, was he not at all ashamed that that Freudian "big stick" of his would reveal what he had in mind as plain as day?
