On the Ball: Reduce, reuse, cycleCycling team is first carbon-neutral pro sports team in U.S.Posted by Sarah K. Burkhalter at 10:15 AM on 28 Dec 2006Congratulations to the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. for This program allows our team to take a leadership position in raising the bar of personal responsibility, and in creating awareness of the new tools that exist for individuals and organizations to take tangible steps to improve the air we breathe. We're glad to have a chance to offset the pollution we create by supporting the development of clean, renewable wind power. Thanks for that, Rob. Meanwhile, you've heard about the scrambling to clean up for Beijing 2008, but how are things going in London, home of the Olympics in 2012? Unexploded German bombs, centuries of industrial contamination and the rapacious Japanese knotweed are just a few of the problems that threaten to turn the planned site of the 2012 Olympics into a giant money pit. Unexploded bombs -- just another obstacle for the steeplechase?
