New study finds women dress better when they're fertile

A new study has found that women tend to dress better when they're fertile, according to an article published today by Reuters. Perhaps there is good reason environmentalists, at least as far as the stereotype is concerned, dress poorly. All the hemp ponchos and fleece jackets are really just another way to walk the talk on population control. At least, that's my new excuse for dressing like this. It's my fertility camouflage.

Exactly where does the

"modesty snaps"!

And I'll bet they're really hard for someone else to unsnap.  I'll bet they really put up a fight.

The utilikilt photos do not give us very much information, actually, save that the slender-waisted model obviously has the kind of figure that could get away with anything.

But one might well ask, regarding Kate's Reuters article: If, on the one hand, women tend to dress and otherwise present themselves as super-sexy when they are ovulating, which happens only once a moon; and if, on the other hand, men are ready to go, 24/7; then, why are so many men obviously not dressing and otherwise presenting themselves as super-sexy all the time?  Or, do they think that that is what they are doing, only they are clueless?

It's all biology

As to Canis' question on the lackadaisical fashion habits of your typical American man.... biologically, women are driven to find & attract the best possible mate.  There is the chance of only one baby every 10 months or so - better make sure it has good genes (not to mention jeans).

Men, on the other hand, can (and do) spread their seed at will.  The quality of mate is far less important as the quantity of mates (again, biologically speaking) as a man can technically create many babies in one day.  It's not that men don't have the biological drive to attract a mate - it's just that they are not that picky. :)

As for why men can seem to be proud of a massive beer belly hanging over stained jeans... well, modern science has yet to plumb the depths of that mystery.

Beer belly or

fuel tank for a sex machine... all a matter of perception.

dress for sex?

reminds me of the old saying that women need a REASON to have sex -- men just need a place!
